Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, arrested in the Delhi Liquor Policy case, will be produced in the CBI court today i.e. Saturday at 2 pm. On February 27, the court sent him in custody for five days, which is being completed today (March 4). On the other hand, on Friday, Sisodia filed a bail application in the lower court.

In this petition, he wrote that he has cooperated in the CBI inquiry. They have come whenever they have been called for questioning. He argued that there is no valid reason to keep him in custody now, as all the recovery has been done by the CBI. Earlier, he had approached the Supreme Court for bail, but SC rejected his plea and asked him to go to the High Court.

Sisodia was arrested on 26 February

CBI arrested Sisodia on February 26 after 8 hours of questioning. He was produced in court on 27 February. The court had given 5 days of custody of Sisodia to CBI. On the morning of 28 February, Congress leader and senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi filed a petition in the Supreme Court against Sisodia's arrest.

He appealed to the court to hear the matter immediately, which was accepted by the court. However, during the hearing on February 28, the bench of CJI Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha rejected the petition and said that you should first go to the High Court. What does it mean to come directly to us? We cannot promote a wrong tradition.

Atishi and Saurabh will be the new ministers of the Delhi government

Now the responsibility of the department of Sisodia and Jain will be on Kailash Gehlot and Rajkumar Anand. A gazette notification has also been issued in this regard. Saurabh Bhardwaj has been the Transport Minister in Kejriwal's first government for 49 days. Atishi Marlena has been an advisor to Sisodia in the education sector.

CBI got Sisodia's five-day remand

The CBI had told the Delhi court that Sisodia was not cooperating in the investigation. They are giving roundabout answers to every question, so their 5-day remand is required. Sisodia's lawyer opposed it. He argued that sending a deputy CM on remand would send the wrong message.
