Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal may consider the excise policy scam as a fraud, but the way the CBI team probing the case is collecting digital and forensic evidence may increase the trouble for the Kejriwal government in the future. After the interrogation of Manish Sisodia in remand, now Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal can also be called to the CBI-ED office. There is information that the investigation team has found strong evidence in this case.
CBI has already interrogated Satyendar Jain in this case by going to Tihar Jail. It is alleged that a bureaucrat of the Excise Department, during interrogation in the scam, has stated to the CBI that Sisodia had called him to Kejriwal's house. Satyendar Jain was also there during that time. At the same time, Sisodia had verbally asked him to prepare a draft to increase the commission for liquor traders.
Allegations of corruption on Kejriwal even in face time call
It is being claimed that Sameer Mahendru had told the investigating agency that Kejriwal had made a video call on FaceTime from the jailed Nair's phone and told him that Vijay Nair was his child. He trusts them.
Mahendru claims that crores of rupees were given in this case on the orders of Kejriwal. Which was spent in the Goa elections. ED has also questioned the advertising company in this matter. It is being claimed that CM Kejriwal is directly involved in both allegations. It is necessary to interrogate them in front of Mahendru, and Vijay Nair so that the truth can be found out.
CBI reached Sisodia through a digital device
The CBI raided the Excise Department's office at ITO till late at night. During this, the agency got a digital device. It had a file related to the draft excise policy and increase in commission of liquor traders, but this file was not there on the official computer of the department. On this CBI called the system engineer and asked where the file was.
On January 14, on the information of the system engineer, a computer was seized from Manish Sisodia's office. It is claimed that most of the files were deleted from the computer.
Recovered from engineers, got many files
When CBI got the computer recovered from IT engineers, many files were found in it. A file came through WhatsApp. After this, the tangled wires of CBI kept getting resolved. It is also being claimed that CBI has also received some chats, in which 2 suggestions have been given for changes in the South Group policy.
Subsequently, Sisodia's suggestions were included in the final excise policy draft of the GoM on 22 March. The CBI is putting this evidence in front of Manish Sisodia and asking how the excise draft policy had already reached the South Lobby.
