The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner took off at 1:16 pm (British time) with a delay of 36 minutes, but at an altitude of about 15,000 feet, the pilots found signs of a problem in the flap system. As per the safety protocol, the plane made several rounds in a holding pattern over the Bay of Dover. During this time, the plane remained at 12,000 feet for about 30 minutes and for a safe landing, extra fuel was dropped in the air itself, so that the weight could be reduced. After a total of about one hour and 45 minutes, the plane landed safely on the runway of Heathrow. All the passengers and crew were disembarked safely.
