Not out even after getting caught: Bishnoi took a wonderful catch, but the foot was touched on the boundary

Team India won the first T20 match between India and West Indies by 6 wickets. India had a target of 158 runs in the match, which the team achieved by losing 4 wickets before 7 balls. Captain Rohit Sharma (40) scored the most runs for India.

 

Earlier, West Indies had scored 157/7 after losing the toss and playing first. During the West Indies innings, Nicholas Pooran remained unbeaten even after being caught out. Yuzvendra Chahal was doing the 7th over of the innings and on the very first ball of the over, Pooran played an aerial shot at long-off. Ravi Bishnoi caught his brilliant catch just near the boundary line, but his right foot touched the boundary line.

 

Pooran took advantage of the opportunity

 

Pooran was given not out for touching the foot on the boundary line. The wicket came in the hands of Team India, but Bishnoi made a mistake. Pooran took full advantage of the life donation he got on 8 runs. He played a powerful inning of 61 runs. This was the sixth fifty of Pooran's T20 International career and his second half-century against Team India. His wicket came in Harshal Patel's account.

 

Bishnoi made their international debut

 

This match gave Ravi Bishnoi a chance to debut in international cricket. He became the 95th Indian player to play in T20. Yuzvendra Chahal gave him the debut cap. Bishnoi took two wickets in the second over of his career. On the second ball of the over, the young leg-spinner got Roston Chase (4) LBW, and on the fifth ball, Rovman Powell (2) was caught by Venkatesh Iyer at long-on.

 

The 21-year-old took 2 wickets in 4 overs giving only 17 runs. Ravi Bishnoi will play from the new team Lucknow franchise in IPL 2022. Lucknow has bought him for Rs 4 crore. Bishnoi was the highest wicket-taker in the 2020 Under-19 World Cup. He took 17 wickets in 6 matches.
