Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated two new offices of the Defense Ministry under the Central Vista Project. These Defense Office Complexes are at Kasturba Gandhi Marg and Africa Avenue in Delhi. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of State for Defense Ajay Bhatt, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Kaushal Kishor, Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat (CDS), and Chief of Armed Forces attended the inaugural event.
PM Modi also addressed the officials on this occasion. He said that today in the 75th year of independence, we are taking an important step towards developing the capital of the country according to the needs and aspirations of the new India. The new Defense Office Complex is going to further strengthen our efforts to make the work of our forces more convenient, more effective.
PM Modi said that today, when we are trying to modernize India's military strength in every respect, equipping it with modern weapons, the purchase of the army's requirement is accelerating, then the work related to the defense of the country is decades old. Well, how can this be possible?
PM Modi hits out at critics of Central Vista
He said that the people who were lying behind the Central Vista project with a stick used to keep completely silent on these projects, even though it is also a part of Central Vista. The PM said that more than 7,000 army officers work here and now a new system has been made for them.

Project completed in just 12 months
PM Modi said that the work of the Defense Office Complex which was to be completed in 24 months has been completed in just 12 months. That too when all the other challenges ranging from labor were to the fore in the circumstances created by Corona. Hundreds of workers got employment in this project during the Corona period.
Both the office buildings were built under the first phase of the Central Vista project
Let us inform you that both the office buildings have been prepared under the first phase of the Central Vista project. Earlier, the main office of the Ministry of Defense was near South Block, while the rest of the offices were here and there. But these will now be merged into these two buildings. Both the buildings are now completely ready. Employees will shift to these in the next few months.
