However, according to the Tihar Jail administration, Arvind Kejriwal is absolutely fine. Jail doctors have not expressed any such concerns.

Wife talked to Kejriwal through video conferencing

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's first night in Tihar Jail was spent in restlessness. They kept changing sides till late Monday night. However, on Tuesday morning he looked quite comfortable. He did yoga and then as per jail rules, he was given tea and bread without sugar for breakfast. After this, he read the newspaper and also watched television for some time.
Jail sources say that after coming to the jail on Monday evening, his night was very uncomfortable. He had a home-cooked dinner at 6:30. Due to diabetes, the court has allowed him to eat home-cooked food in the morning and evening, while he will have jail breakfast only. Potatoes have been removed from his breakfast. A Mosquito net was installed in his cell. He woke up twice in the night. After this, he sat on the chair and kept thinking for some time. Then drank water and went to sleep. Waking up around six in the morning, he did pranayama for one and a half hours. After this, he was given tea and breakfast. During the day he also came out of the cell and took a walk in the courtyard.
Jail administration keeps an eye on health
The Chief Minister is suffering from diabetes. The jail administration is keeping a close watch on his health regarding this. Kejriwal has been asked to supply glucometer, isabgol, glucose, and toffee to the jail superintendent in case of a sudden drop in sugar level. Jail officials said that his health is being monitored by the jail doctors. Doctors are constantly visiting him to inquire about his well-being. The sugar level is being checked. Clear instructions have been given to the jail staff and security personnel present around the cell that if anyone looks uncomfortable, they should immediately inform the senior officer and provide immediate medical treatment.
