After a long chase, Sub Inspector Varun Alva caught hold of the accused and dropped him on the ground, and arrested him red-handed.
The gang was active for a long time
The arrested thief has been identified as 32-year-old Harish Pujari. Along with Harish, a 20-year-old co-accused, who is being named Attavar, has also been arrested. The police recovered the stolen mobile from near Attavar itself. Another accused named Rajesh is being sought in this case. It is being told that all these people carry out the theft incidents as a gang.
Bihar's migrant laborer is the victim
The person whose mobile was stolen by the members of this gang is said to be a migrant laborer from Bihar. The laborer works in a granite factory. He was sleeping in Nehru Maidan at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, this gang of miscreants targeted him, fortunately, Sub Inspector Varun Alva reached the spot in time and saved the laborer's mobile from being stolen.
