On Monday, many doctors including AIIMS and RML Hospital were on strike. Due to the indefinite strike of resident doctors, up to 80 percent of surgeries were affected in AIIMS. According to the information received from AIIMS Medical Superintendent Dr. Nirupam Madan, 98 major and 96 minor surgeries were conducted in AIIMS on Monday.

Emergency became a support for patients
Amidst the doctors' strike, the facilities in the emergency became a support for the patients. Serious patients who were troubled in the OPD immediately went to the emergency. Here the doctors provided them treatment as well as medicines. Kuldeep, who came to Loknayak, said that his mother was feeling dizzy. Even after sitting in the OPD for a long time, when the doctor was not seen, he immediately came to the emergency on the guard's request. Here the doctors saw his mother and prescribed medicines.
Even rain could not stop the doctors' protest
Amidst the doctors' strike, it rained intermittently in Delhi on Monday. The doctors' protest continued amidst this rain. In light rain, the doctors took out a rally from the AIIMS director's office to the ring road. Apart from this, they continued to protest in other hospitals in the rain as well. While in many places the protest continued with black bands tied.
Nursing staff also came in support
Nursing staff of AIIMS, RML, and Lady Harding have also come in support of the doctors' strike. The nursing union says that the doctors are protesting for a reasonable demand. They will also support them in this protest. Everyone has demanded proper security for the health workers.
