Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the countrymen from the Red Fort today. The occasion is the 400th birth anniversary of the 9th Guru of Sikhs, Tegh Bahadur. PM Modi will deliver a speech tonight from the Red Fort. However, the PM will not address the countrymen from the ramparts of the Red Fort, but from the lawn. Narendra Modi has given his address 9 times from the Red Fort till now. Being the PM from the year 2014 to 2021, he has addressed the countrymen from the ramparts of the Red Fort. When the PM addressed the nation for the first time from the Red Fort, he gave a speech for more than an hour. In 2015, the PM broke the record of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru by addressing the country for 86 minutes. In 2016, PM Modi broke his record by addressing the country for 94 minutes. After this Modi addressed the countrymen from 2017 to 2021.

 

Apart from this, Modi also addressed the anniversary of the formation of the Azad Hind government by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in 2018. Then Modi addressed the countrymen in the morning.

Another history will be made this evening when Modi will be giving a speech from the Red Fort. Narendra Modi will be the first Prime Minister of India to deliver a speech from the Red Fort after sunset. It is being said that in his speech, there will be an emphasis on harmony between different religions and communities.
