Pakistan: Clashes in Pakistan due to inflation and lack of food, police have to resort to lathi-firing

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has said that inflation, shortage of food grains, and its poor distribution system have created a human rights tragedy in the country. The HRCP statement comes amid a tussle in Pakistan over price rise and supply shortage. In Pakistan, the prices of some essential commodities have increased up to five times, due to which the common man is in a bad condition. The police have to resort to lathi-firing to improve the system.

1 killed in a stampede to buy flour

A man named Harsingh Kohli was killed this week in a stampede to buy flour in Mirpur Khas. The commission has said that the death of Kohli, a laborer, is not the first death due to the problems that have cropped up in the country in the recent past. Due to a lack of food security, this environment has been created for the last several weeks. That's why the government should ensure the distribution of food items and make them available at normal rates.

Human rights commission gave these instructions to the government

The commission's statement said Kohli was the father of six children. Apart from Kohli, many other people have also died in Pakistan due to food problems. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the government to eliminate the problem of essential food items in the country on a priority basis.

People forced to stand in long lines

Food items should be made available to the poor and other needy at a low rate by the government. Many videos of the bad condition of food items in Pakistan are also appearing in the internet media. In them, people can be seen forming long lines and fighting among themselves.
