External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday (February 26) said that the main concern of the G-20 would be to find ways to bail out the threat to the global economy. Stating India's year-long G-20 presidency, Jaishankar said the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tried to give as much relief to consumers as possible from the hike in petrol prices and inflation. Several measures have also been taken to reduce it.

We need to find ways to rescue the global economy from danger

S Jaishankar said, 'Today the world has learned a lesson that security does not mean only physical and economic security. It also means health and food security. Therefore, today we have to find a way to rescue the global economy from danger.

There will be 15 ministerial meetings of G-20 this year

The Foreign Minister said, 'The way we derisk a sector. We will also derisk a business. This is a huge debate and I would say that in the G-20 we have to pay attention to this. He further said that apart from the presidential and prime minister level summits in September, there will be 15 ministerial meetings of the G-20 this year.

The Union Minister asserted that the COVID-19 pandemic has left a very deep psychological scar in the world and developed countries have taken care of themselves during the outbreak. Jaishankar said that except for India, very few countries have tried to think about the rest of the world.
