Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Tura, Meghalaya. He said that now the G20 meeting is also going to be held in Meghalaya, due to which the identity of Meghalaya is going to be strengthened. Congress governments had considered this region as the last part of the country, but BJP considers it as the growth engine of the country's development.
PM Modi said that in the last nine years, 5000 crores have been spent in the name of the National Highway in Meghalaya. 11 districts of Meghalaya have been connected by National Highway. The central government also wants to connect Meghalaya with the neighboring countries. Efforts are being made to provide more markets to the farmers and those who grow fruits and vegetables.
In Meghalaya, PM Modi surrounded the Congress and said that the Congress used to remember Meghalaya only during elections. Congress and similar parties looted the North Eastern states, considering them as ATMs. Now the people of Meghalaya have decided to form the BJP government both in the state and at the Centre. 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' is secularism for us. For BJP, the country and its citizens come first.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that BJP does not discriminate based on religion, pant, or caste. Everyone gets the benefit of BJP's schemes. BJP works for the betterment of Janata Janardhan for 100% profit. 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' is our secularism.
The Prime Minister said that some people are not liking your love for the BJP. He has lost his sleep. He had tried hard that this rally could not happen, but to connect with Meghalaya, Modi does not need any ground to connect with the people of Tura. The people of Meghalaya have given Modi a place in their hearts.
He said that having a BJP government in Meghalaya means fast development of Meghalaya, development of every region of Meghalaya without any discrimination. The BJP government in Meghalaya means freedom from bombs and blockades and violence. The BJP government in Meghalaya means the government which supports every region and religion. BJP government in Meghalaya means freedom from scams and corruption. The BJP government in Meghalaya means the government which provides pucca houses, electricity, and water to the poor. The BJP government in Meghalaya means the government which reduces the problems of women, sisters, and daughters here.
He said that the central government has increased the budget of North-East in the last 9 years, but here people tell that neither roads, schools-colleges nor hospitals have been built here. The youth here are telling that there is corruption in recruitment. There is nepotism. Seeing all this, Meghalaya has decided that there should be a BJP government in both Delhi and Shillong.
He said that BJP has always been devoted to tribal development. We have given five times more budget than what the Congress governments used to keep for the tribals. The tribal society of Meghalaya is also going to be benefited from this.
