Paris Olympics Day 5 Schedule: Manika Batra will take her campaign forward, and Lovlina will want to make a winning start

India got a bronze medal on Tuesday, the fourth day of the Paris Olympics when the pair of Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won the bronze medal. Now on the fifth day, Wednesday, Manika Batra will enter the pre-quarterfinals of table tennis, while Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist women's boxer Lovlina Borgohain will also start her campaign.

 

Sindhu will also present a challenge, hope will be from archers.

Two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu will also present a challenge in her second match of the group stage. Sindhu will face Kristin Kuuba, while Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy will be in their respective groups. After Bhajan Kaur's brilliant performance, better performance will also be expected from experienced archers Deepika Kumari and Tarundeep Rai. Deepika and Tarundeep will challenge in the women's and men's singles 1/32 elimination stage respectively.

- Men's Singles (Group Stage): Lakshya Sen vs Jonatan Christie (Indonesia) (from 1:40 pm)

- Men's Singles (Group Stage): HS Prannoy vs Duc Phat Le (Vietnam) (from 11 pm)

 

Table Tennis

- Women's Singles (Round of Last 32): Sreeja Akula vs Jian Zeng (Singapore) (from 2:20 pm)

- Women's Singles (Round off-16): Manika Batra (from 8:30 pm)

 

Boxing

- Women's 75kg (round of last 16): Lovlina Borgohain vs Sunniva Hofstad (Norway) (from 3:50 pm)
