Mahashivratri 2024: Celebration of Mahashivratri across the country, devotees gathered for darshan in Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar temples.

The festival of Mahashivratri is being celebrated with great pomp across the country today. At the same time, on this occasion, devotees are reaching Mahakal Jyotirlinga Temple and Omkareshwar-Mamaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple of Madhya Pradesh in large numbers to have darshan. Aarti was performed at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. During this time a large number of devotees were present.

Special arrangements have been made for devotees to visit the famous Pashupatinath temple of Mandsaur, Bhojpur Shiv temple near Bhopal, Achaleshwar Mahadev temple of Gwalior and Devguradiya temple of Indore. Preparations are on to celebrate the festival of Mahashivratri with great pomp in Shiva temples in all the districts of the state. Here, along with the Mahakal temple of Ujjain, the queues of devotees started forming since the night at Omkareshwar temple of Khandwa district and Pashupatinath temple of Mandsaur.

Aarti performed in Kashi Vishwanath temple

On the occasion of Mahashivratri, Aarti was performed at Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi. At the same time, devotees worshiped and bathed at Sangam Ghat on the occasion of Mahashivratri in Prayagraj. Here, devotees also worshiped in Nageshwar Nath temple of Ayodhya.

On the occasion of Mahashivratri, a large number of devotees are reaching Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. There are long queues of devotees for worship in the temple. During this time devotees are chanting praises of Mahadev.

Devotees are reaching all the temples of the country from East to West and from North to South for worship. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, devotees offered prayers at Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. At the same time, there has been a long queue of devotees since morning to have darshan at Shivala Bagh Bhaiya Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. At the same time, on this auspicious occasion, morning aarti was performed at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Devotees are arriving in large numbers to visit Mahakaleshwar Temple.
