Two Glock pistols and other weapons recovered from the terrorists killed in a joint operation by Punjab and Pilibhit police may have links to Pakistan. Police and investigation agencies are investigating these weapons. Important information about these weapons is expected in the forensic lab investigation report.

Apart from pistols, police had recovered two AK 47s and more than 100 cartridges from the terrorists killed in the encounter on December 23.

 

A silver bracelet, a Rolex watch, and about 45 thousand cash were also found. Austria is written on both the Glock pistols recovered from the terrorists. In the police investigation, the name of Babbar Khalsa terrorist Kulbir Singh Sidhu, who is an aide of the terrorists sitting in England, has come to light. In this connection, it is suspected that the said weapons were provided by the masters of the terrorists sitting in Pakistan.

 

The police are now in touch with state, central, and other agencies so that accurate information can be obtained. Not only this, the recovered AK 47 and cartridges are also being investigated. SP Avinash Pandey said that the weapons recovered from the terrorists are being investigated. Security agencies are being contacted. Input is also being taken from the Punjab Police.

On December 23, the NIA arrested Jatinder Singh alias Jyoti, a resident of Gurdaspur, Punjab, from Mankhurd in Mumbai. He has been absconding since July 2024 after the arrest of arms supplier Baljit Singh alias Rana. During interrogation, it was found that he had brought 10 pistols from Madhya Pradesh and delivered them to the henchmen of Landa and Batala in Punjab.

 

It was also revealed that the weapons came from Pakistan. Meanwhile, three Khalistani terrorists were killed in an encounter in Pilibhit's Puranpur on 23 December. Similar Glock pistols were recovered from them. That is why the police are now investigating every point.

 

Investigation of DVR continues to determine the movement

 

The police remained busy on Tuesday also in searching the DVRs seized from various shops in the city to know the movement of the killed terrorists. Investigating officer Bisalpur Kotwal Sanjeev Shukla was also present at the police station throughout the day on Tuesday. The police believe that the CCTV footage will reveal where the terrorists went.

After throwing a grenade at the Bakshiwal police post of Kalanaur police station in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab, terrorists Varinder Singh alias Ravi, Jaspreet alias Pratap Singh, Gurvinder Singh reached Puranpur. All three stayed at Harji Hotel between 20 and 21 December. All three were killed in a police encounter in the early hours of 23 December. Kulbir Singh alias Siddh, the helper of the three terrorists killed in the encounter, who is based in England, is a terrorist associated with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). It was Sidhu who had arranged for the three terrorists to stay in the hotel through Jaspal alias Sunny.
