Prime Minister Narendra Modi stayed in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu on a spiritual journey after the political engagements of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. After 45 hours of meditation at the Vivekananda Memorial, the Prime Minister gave a special message, mentioning the future development of India and the real strength of the country. PM Modi said we have to redefine the heritage in a modern way by adopting ancient values ​​in a modern form. He said we have to refine outdated thinking and beliefs. Referring to taking society out of the pressure of professional pessimists, the Prime Minister said that freedom from negativity is the first herb to reach the accomplishment of success. Success grows only in the lap of positivity. With this message, he also called upon the countrymen to dedicate the next 25 years only and only for the nation.

 

Inspiration of Swami Vivekananda

The Prime Minister said, 'The feeling of detachment in my mind became more intense...my mind became completely detached from the outside world. Such sadhana is difficult amidst such big responsibilities, but the land of Kanyakumari and the inspiration of Swami Vivekananda made it easy. I had come here leaving my election as an MP at the feet of the voters of Kashi. Amidst this detachment, peace, and silence, thoughts were constantly flowing in my mind for the bright future of India, for the goals of India.'

 

India's ideological confluence in Kanyakumari; the holy rivers of the country meet in the seas

 

PM Modi said this place of Kanyakumari has always been very close to my heart. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari...this is our shared identity embedded in the heart of every citizen of the country. Kanyakumari is the land of the confluence of confluences. The holy rivers of our country meet in different seas and here the confluence of those seas takes place. And here another great confluence is seen - India's ideological confluence! Here, along with the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, there is a huge statue of Saint Tiruvalluvar, Gandhi Mandapam, and Kamarajar Mani Mandapam.

We never measured it by economic or material parameters, hence 'Idam na mama' i.e. this is not mine, has become an inherent and natural part of India's character. India's governance model has become an example for many countries of the world.

Prime Minister Modi said that India's development path makes us proud. It also reminds 140 crore citizens of their responsibilities. He said that we should move towards more duties and bigger goals without wasting a single moment.
