PM Modi Meets Rishi Sunak: 3 thousand Indians will get UK visa every year, Sunak's decision after meeting Modi

Britain's Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has taken an important decision regarding the visa of Indian students. Sunak has announced it gives three thousand visas every year to Indian youth to work in the UK. The British government says that India is the first country to benefit from such a scheme.

 

The UK Prime Minister said, 'Today the UK-India Professionals Scheme has been confirmed. Indian degree holders aged 18-30 were offered 3,000 visas to come to the UK and work for two years.

 

Decision was taken after meeting PM Modi

Please inform that the Sunak government has taken this decision after meeting PM Modi in Bali. Significantly, PM Modi is in Bali, Indonesia to participate in the G20 summit. Yesterday i.e. on Tuesday, British PM Rishi Sunak met PM Modi. This was Sunak's first meeting with Modi after becoming the PM of Indian origin.

 

Downing Street said in a statement, 'The scheme has been launched with India. This is an important moment for both our bilateral relationship and the UK's wider commitment to building stronger ties with the Indo-Pacific region, to strengthen both our economies.'

 

UK-India relationship more

The statement said that the UK has more ties to India than any other country in the Indo-Pacific region. Almost a quarter of all international students in the UK are from India. Indian investment in the UK supports 95,000 jobs here.
