Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting South India on a two-day tour from today. As part of this tour, he will visit Andhra Pradesh and Kerala on 16 and 17 January. During this time he was working at Cochin Shipyard Ltd. (CSL) and International Ship Repair Facility (ISRF). The Prime Minister's Office has given information about his visit.
According to the program released by the Prime Minister's Office, the PM will inaugurate the new campus of the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) at Palasamudram in Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. The PM will reach Kerala the next day i.e. on Wednesday. Here he will worship at Guruvayoor and Triprayar Ramaswamy temple.
The PMO also said that in a major boost to the ports, shipping, and waterways sector, the Prime Minister will inaugurate projects worth more than Rs 4,000 crore in Kochi. These projects also include the inauguration of the LPG import terminal of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL).
