Virat Kohli out of the first two tests

Meanwhile, BCCI said on Monday that Kohli has withdrawn from the first two Tests against England due to personal reasons. The BCCI urged fans and media to avoid speculating about the reason for their forced break ahead of the five-match series starting January 25 in Hyderabad. The board said that it will soon announce the replacement of this star batsman. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said in a statement, 'Virat has requested the BCCI to withdraw from the first two Tests of the upcoming Test series against England due to personal reasons.

 

Virat also talked to captain Rohit

According to the board, Virat has spoken to captain Rohit Sharma, the team management and selectors, and said that representing the country has always been his top priority. However, some personal circumstances demand his presence and attention. Shah also said that the BCCI fully supports its star player and believes in the team and its ability to win even without their best batsman. The board is confident of the ability of the remaining players that they will perform well in the Test series. He also urged everyone to respect Kohli's privacy.
