According to the Indian Management Training Institute, the predominant surface wind in Delhi on Tuesday was from the northwest direction at a speed of eight to four km per hour. The day was sunny which brought some relief. The estimated maximum mixing height on Tuesday was 1400 meters. On Wednesday the main surface wind may blow from the north-west direction. The wind speed will be up to four km per hour during the day while the wind will remain calm during the evening and night. Pollution levels are expected to increase due to the weakening of wind flow. At the same time, after the wind direction changes to a northwest/east direction from Thursday, the pollution level is expected to increase rapidly.
