Europe is battling inflation. The rate of inflation here is at a record level of 8.9% for the last 11 years. France is most affected by inflation. In France, common people have come out on the streets demanding to increase in their salaries. They say that inflation is so fast that it is difficult to survive on a normal salary.

 

Earlier, employees of oil companies in France had stopped working and demanded a salary increase. Now there is a shortage of fuel. After this, the common people also took to the streets in lakhs. French President Emmanuel Macron is also facing public opposition.

Oil and gas supplies were damaged due to the Russia-Ukraine war, as Russia has large reserves of oil and gas. Before the war, Russia used to send gas and oil to many countries in Europe.
