Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently conducted a road show in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi. Now a road show is proposed in Kolkata on Tuesday. His election chariot decorated in saffron color is not an ordinary car but is equipped with measures for election management, public relations, crowd management, and security from any kind of attack. For this, Isuzu company's D-Max model is being used.
In November 2022, PM Modi held a 45 km road show in Ahmedabad. Isuzu company's D-Max model car was used in this. The advantage of this roadshow was that there was no need to bring the public to the venue of the public meeting, rather their favorite leader was in front of them. Connect with thousands of people at one time.
20 cars have been prepared
When people waved, Modi was also accepting their greetings. People passing by the roadshow would also be attracted. Due to this, the intimacy between the leader and the public became stronger. After seeing its usefulness, 20 such cars were made.
These are the features
A BJP leader associated with preparing the car and organizing Modi's roadshow in Ahmedabad says that a 25 mm metal plate is installed in the lower part of the five-seater car, which protects it from bomb blasts.
At the rear of the car, at the place where PM Modi is standing, there are 5-5 mm plates installed on both sides, which are bulletproof.
There is anNSG commando and an additional driver inside the car, while one leader can stand on each side of Modi and four at the back.
For PM Modi, a six-inch stool is placed where he stands so that he can communicate with people in a better way after standing on it.
There is an AC panel and LED installed in front of PM Modi's face so that the roadshow can be done easily even in extreme heat and at night. There is only PM Modi's photo on the front and both sides of the car.
Service happens after every roadshow
After every road show it is sent to the service center for service. When not in use, it is kept in the state BJP office, where the responsibility of its maintenance is handled by a state general secretary-level leader.
Modi did road shows in these states
Modi has done road shows with these cars in states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha, Bengal, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh etc. Union Housing and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has also done a roadshow in Ahmedabad.
The responsibility of strategy lies in the hands of the local unit
The roadshow strategy forms the local unit of the party. Before the roadshow, local party people walk the route and inspect every part. Extensive security arrangements are made. The SPG team walks on foot throughout the roadshow. The driver of the car that came during the roadshow in Varanasi was Amit Gupta from Lucknow. This car reaches three days before the roadshow. Three such cars have been kept at the Lucknow party headquarters.
