PSG Vs Lens: French League: PSG beat Lens 3-1, Mbappe's record 139th goal, Messi also shines

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) recovered from a recent slump to beat second-placed Lens 3-1 to extend their lead at the top of the French league, Ligue 1, to nine points. Captain Kylin Mbappe played a key role in this victory. He scored the first goal for the team. It was his record 139 goals for the club in the league. With this, he became PSG's top scorer in the league. He went past Edinson Cavani of Uruguay who scored 138 goals for the club. This was Mbappe's total 203rd goal for the club. Shortly before, Mbappe had scored his 200th goal for the club and for that he became the all-time top scorer.

 

Messi scored the 15th goal of the season for the club

The match was crucial for PSG, who have lost eight matches in all competitions. In the 25th minute, he scored the first timer in the bottom right corner of the goal on a pass from midfielder Vitinha. It was his 20th goal for the club this season. Six minutes later, Vitinha made it 2-0 for PSG from 25 metres. Messi was also not going to lag behind. In the 40th minute, he sent a pass from Mbappe into the goal. It was his 15th goal for the club this season.

 

 

10 player lens

Lens midfielder Salis Abdul Samad was sent off in the 19th minute after showing a red card. Although with 10 players, Lens played well in the second half. PSG's Fabian Ruiz touches the ball with his hand in the box, giving Lens a penalty. Poland's winger Przemysław Frankowski scored on it in the 60th minute.

 

La Liga: Real Madrid beat Cadiz 2-0
