People on social media are not happy with actor Rishab Shetty, who recently criticized Bollywood, saying that it presents films in a negative light around the world. Recently, while talking to Metrosaga, Rishab reportedly said that he believes in presenting his "nation, state and language" in a positive light.

Speaking to Metrosaga in Kannada, Rishabh was quoted by the Times of India as saying, "Indian films, especially Bollywood, often portray India in a negative light. These films are shown at international events and get special attention. For me, my country, my state, and my language are a source of pride. I believe in presenting them in a positive light to the world and that's what I strive to do."

A clip from Rishabh's film Kantara was shared on Reddit, in which he pinched co-star Sapthami Gowda's waist. Reacting to this, a person said, "Apart from this, there is another scene in which he was peeping while bathing. It was uncomfortable to watch. There is no doubt that the film was very good, but abusal harassment is considered very normal in Indian cinema."

The film Kantara was released in the year 2022. The film was well received by the people of North India along with South India. The film based on the folklore did well at the box office. In the film, Rishabh plays the role of a rebel who raises his voice against the exploitation of nature.
