S Jaishankar: 'India is tolerating Pakistan's illegal occupation of part of Jammu and Kashmir', Jaishankar said in Raisina Dialogue.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that if any region has been illegally occupied for the longest time since the Second World War, it is Kashmir. The External Affairs Minister questioned the United Nations while referring to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) at the Raisina Dialogue on Tuesday.

 

Jaishankar said, we went to the UN and what was an invasion was made into a dispute. The attacker and the victim were put in the same category. He also questioned the attitude of Western countries on political interference in the Kashmir issue. Jaishankar said this shows how Western forces distorted the reality of Kashmir. The Foreign Minister also advocated for a strong and impartial United Nations, expressing concern over historical injustice in dealing with some issues. Basic stability necessary for global order

Jaishankar said that a strong global order should have some basic stability in standards. He said that when Western countries talk about a country, they say that democracy is in danger there, but when another Western country points a finger at it, it is called malicious interference. It is not necessary to be a big country for anarchy

Jaishankar said we need an international system, just as we need a domestic system... If there is no system, then it is not necessary for a country to be big to create a situation of anarchy. Any country can take the risk and use the chaos for its benefit. Some small countries in our neighborhood have also done this. He was referring to Bangladesh.
