The 29th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) began with grandeur at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata on Tuesday. Many well-known personalities including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha, Sourav Ganguly, and Mahesh Bhatt were present at the inauguration ceremony. In an interview at the event, Salman Khan amusingly compared Mamata Banerjee's residence with his own house in Mumbai and expressed jealousy towards her comfortable residence.
