Shahrukh Khan reaches a foreign land with friends, but he faces many problems and difficulties. At the end of the trailer, it is shown that Shahrukh Khan becomes old and lost in the memories of the past, he says... I started this story and I will finish it.

Earlier, the makers had planned to release the film in India on December 22, which would have had a direct competition with Prabhas and Prashant Neel's 'Salaar: Part One - Ceasefire', but now 'Dunki' will have a direct clash with Prabhas' 'Salaar'.
