On the first day of Sawan, on Friday, there was a rush of devotees in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham. After this, the Kashi tradition of Hari-Har was carried forward by showering flowers on the devotees from the main sanctum sanctorum to the Lord Badrinarayan temple situated in the temple premises. These flowers will be given to the devotees throughout the day along with the Akshat Prasad of Maa Annapurna as a welcome gift on the first day of Sawan.
After the Mangala Aarti, the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Temple Trust, Divisional Commissioner S. Rajlingam, Chief Executive Officer Vishwa Bhushan, Deputy Collector Shambhu Sharan, Tehsildar Mini L. Shekhar were present to welcome the devotees.
