This is because tonight many services of the country's largest government bank State Bank of India (SBI) and private bank HDFC Bank will be disrupted. In this context, the bank has issued an alert to its customers. Customers will not be able to avail the facility like Internet Banking and Unified Payments Interface (UPI). This is being done due to maintenance work. Last month too, SBI's digital banking platforms including YONO, YONO Lite, Internet Banking, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) were affected due to maintenance-related tasks.

SBI said in a tweet, 'We will do maintenance-related work from 10.15 pm on May 7, 2021, to late May 1.45 on May 8, 2021. During this time, INB, YONO, YONO Lite, UPI services will not be available. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to customers and urge you to cooperate. '
HDFC Bank Alert
HDFC has also issued an alert to its customers. The bank said that its net banking and mobile banking services will be disrupted on Friday night. In a message sent via e-mail, the bank said, "NetBanking and mobile banking services will not be available from 8 am to 5 am on May 8 due to certain scheduled maintenance activities".
SBI has more than 22,000 branches in the country
SBI, the country's largest bank, has more than 22,000 branches and 57,889 ATMs. As of December 31, 2020, the number of customers using Internet banking and mobile banking is 8.5 crore and 1.9 crores, respectively. At the same time, the number of customers using the bank's UPI is 135 million.
