
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday said technology-based approaches and initiatives like digital universities under the National Policy on Education (NEP) will be crucial in increasing access to quality education. He said that it is the priority of the government to create a strong and resilient system to make education accessible to all.
He emphasized the need to adopt innovative and innovative methods to increase access to quality and affordable education and bring the vast population of the country under formal education and proven skilling infrastructure. Pradhan said that NEP-2020 lays out the approach and path to meet the needs of every learner from the ECCE level and build a vibrant and equitable knowledge society. To make digital education accessible to every child
The Union Minister said that this includes setting up 200 TV channels and 60 TV channels for higher education. Its material will be prepared in collaboration with the states. These channels will aim to provide education to the last mile. Since digital education is currently available to only 60 percent of the students in India, these TV channels will prove to be the world's number one communication system for education.
