School Chalo Abhiyan: Chief Minister will start the School Chalo campaign today, a campaign to bring backward districts forward in literacy rate

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in his second innings, has started a campaign to improve the level of primary and basic education in the state as well as to increase the literacy rate in all the districts. In this sequence, on Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will start the School Chalo campaign across the state from the Shravasti district, which has the lowest literacy rate in the state. Their goal is to bring other backward districts along with Shravasti into the mainstream.

 

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will give impetus to the campaign from Basic School to School in Jaichandpur Katghara village of Ikauna in Shravasti today. The Chief Minister's program is here for about an hour. He will be accompanied by Sandeep Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Basic Education, along with top officials of the Basic Education Department. According to Shravasti District Magistrate Neha Prakash, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's helicopter will land at Shravasti airport at 9.45 am. After this, he will reach primary school in Jaichandpur Katghara at ten o'clock. The Chief Minister will be involved in various programs along with launching the School Chalo campaign by around 11 am.

 

Now Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has become very active in ensuring 100% enrollment in primary and upper primary schools of Uttar Pradesh. In a big campaign, he is engaged in rejuvenating all the primary and basic schools of the government. At the same time, he is making efforts toward shaping the future of primary education in the state and the direction of the overall development of schools.

 

Children, who were deprived of going to school for almost two years due to coronavirus infection, will once again resonate in schools. From Monday, in all the schools in the state, children will start studying in a new class along with taking admitted to a new class in the new academic session. In Uttar Pradesh, we will go once again to Monday's school. State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will formally launch this campaign. CM Yogi Adityanath believes that the condition of all government schools in the state has improved a lot. A large number of admissions are also taking place in the schools of the Basic Education Department. The attitude of parents towards government schools has also increased significantly. His instructions are that not only public representatives but also officers should adopt primary and basic schools. As per the guidelines of the Chief Minister, this mega campaign will be run extensively in the whole of Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister says that due to the corona epidemic, two years of the children remained weak at the educational level, so this campaign will be launched to give further impetus.

 

The Chief Minister has directed the officials that priority should be given to the districts with low literacy rates and the primary schools of the state should be equipped with better facilities. The government has also selected Shravasti for the School Chalo campaign for the same reason it has the lowest literacy rate. Shravasti is followed by Bahraich, Balrampur, Badaun, and Rampur. Yogi Adityanath said that government schools should achieve all the goals of 'Operation Kayakalp', which aims to give a facelift to schools. The Chief Minister said that all government schools should provide basic facilities like toilets, drinking water, furniture, and smart classes to the students. Uniforms and shoes and socks will be provided to the students under the campaign. The primary schools in the state should be equipped with better facilities. The Chief Minister has asked the officials to conduct a time-bound campaign from the deployment of teachers to the basic facilities. Teachers should be posted in every Basic Education Council's school.

 

He said that departmental officers should campaign to collaborate with alumni (of government schools) and private firms for the transformation of government schools. He has also issued instructions to the Basic Education Department to gear up for this campaign and ensure the deployment of teachers in all government schools. Under the School Chalo Abhiyan, the districts with low literacy will be given more attention.
