At the same time, in the midst of all this, the government has given big information. The government has said that at present people do not need another booster dose. First, we need to apply its first dose to every citizen. According to the government report, the first shot of the booster has been administered to only 28 percent of the population, which is a matter of concern. The central government seems to be making all efforts to speed up the booster drive.

 

There was a discussion among the technical group about the second booster dose.

According to media reports, discussions were going on among the members of the technical group about the second booster dose as some people were feeling the dire need for it. An expert on one of the committees of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization, or NTAGI, said on condition of anonymity. They will scrutinize all the scientific data before making any recommendations.

Some doctors called for a fourth dose

Explain that the third dose for health care and frontline workers was given about a year ago.

 

Association's former president Dr. JA Jayalal said that we have urged the health minister to consider a fourth precautionary dose for people, especially doctors, nurses, other hospital staff, and frontline workers, who are considered to be at high risk. Patients have to be managed.
