Former National President of Janata Dal-United and former Union Minister Sharad Yadav died at Fortis Hospital in Gurugram on Thursday night. He was 75 years old and was suffering from a kidney ailment for a long time. He was admitted to the hospital due to shortness of breath. Sharad Yadav also did politics for a long time with Jaiprakash Narayan, Chaudhary Charan Singh, Rajiv Gandhi, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Sharad Yadav was elected Lok Sabha MP a total of seven times and became a Rajya Sabha MP three times. He also went to jail during the Emergency in the country.
