Sharad Yadav Passes Away: Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to Sharad Yadav, Rahul Gandhi also paid his last visit

Former National President of Janata Dal-United and former Union Minister Sharad Yadav died at Fortis Hospital in Gurugram on Thursday night. He was 75 years old and was suffering from a kidney ailment for a long time. He was admitted to the hospital due to shortness of breath. Information about Sharad Yadav's death was given by his daughter Subhashini Yadav on her Facebook page.

Sharad Yadav also did politics for a long time with Jaiprakash Narayan, Chaudhary Charan Singh, Rajiv Gandhi, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Sharad Yadav was elected Lok Sabha MP a total of seven times and became a Rajya Sabha MP three times. He also went to jail during the Emergency in the country. Many personalities including Prime Minister Narendra Modi have mourned his death.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to former Union Minister and JDU leader Sharad Yadav. During this, he said, "The absence of Sharad Yadav ji among us is an irreparable loss to the public life of the country." In his 5 decades-long public life, Sharad ji always raised the issues of the people and the backward. He continued to carry forward the basic principles of the Samajwadi Party till his last breath. Sharad Yadav was the main leader in the leadership that emerged after fighting against the Emergency. I pray that God gives strength to his family members and supporters to bear the loss in this hour of grief.

 

Rahul Gandhi paid tribute

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to former Union Minister and JDU leader Sharad Yadav. Rahul Gandhi said, “I have learned a lot about politics from Sharad Yadav ji, it is very sad if he is not among us today. He never lost his respect because it is very easy to lose respect in politics.
