Jamshedpur violence: The atmosphere of the area worsened late Sunday evening after the incident of insulting the Mahaviri flag near Shastri Nagar block number three of the Kadma area late on Saturday night. People of two communities came face to face regarding this incident. Stones started pelting at each other, which led to a stampede.
Two vehicles and five shops were set on fire
The miscreants set fire to five hut-like shops including two two-wheelers. In this incident, three rounds of bullets were also fired from the particular community. The chairs of Peepaldhari Jatadhari temple have been vandalized. The police had to fire in the air to disperse the crowd. There were many occasions when the police had to come to the back foot.
Road covered with brick and stone due to stone pelting by miscreants
The miscreants continued to throw stones from the houses. Block number-2 of Shastri Nagar was occupied by the miscreants for two hours. During this, the road was covered with bricks and stones due to stone pelting by the miscreants.
Raf left tear gas shells
Raff was brought in to control the miscreants. RAF fired six rounds of tear gas shells against the miscreants. Rafe disperses the crowd. Now the situation in the area is tense but under control. All the shops in the area were closed. People have been forced to hide in their homes.
More than 50 people were detained
50 people have been detained from Shastri Nagar block number-2 including the mosque and the surrounding area. Other weapons including a sword were recovered. Senior police officers are camping in the area. SSP Prabhat Kumar told that the situation is under control. There is no report of any injury.
People protested after the insult of Mahavir's flag
In Kadma Shastri Nagar Block-3, at a short distance from Peepaldhari Jatadhari Temple, the Mahaviri flag was hoisted on the street light on the day of Ram Navami. People protested after seeing the polythene hanging on the rope. Police were given 24 hours to take action.
Masked men attacked the people of the temple committee
At six o'clock on Sunday evening, the people of the temple committee were gathering for a meeting regarding the incident. Meanwhile, suddenly more than 100 people arrived, most of whom had covered their faces. These miscreants started vandalizing and pelting stones. For which the local people united with the members of the temple committee.

Both sides came face to face and started shouting slogans, after which the atmosphere deteriorated and stone pelting started. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and tried to disperse the miscreants. When the police tried to stop the miscreants, the police were also pelted with stones.

After the atmosphere deteriorated, the administration imposed 144 in the Kadma area. Apart from this, miking is being done by the police urging people to stay in their homes. Apart from this, internet service is also temporarily closed.
