Uttarakhand Accident: Tragic accident in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, jeep fell into a 600-meter-deep ditch; nine people died

A painful accident took place in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. A jeep going from Sama in Bageshwar to Hokra temple in Munsiyari block of Pithoragarh district overturned from the road and fell into the Ramganga river. There is a preliminary report of the death of nine out of ten people in the vehicle.

 

The accident was informed by other drivers passing by. Police from Nachani police station, and revenue and disaster relief rescue teams from Tejam are reaching the spot on the information of other drivers passing through here. The spot is a very remote area. The jeep has reached the river falling from a deep gorge of more than 600 meters. While the dead bodies of the people are visible in the middle of the ditch.

Deadly road due to heavy rain
