The government has approved the purchase of 3180 additional bulletproof jackets and helmets. These bulletproof jackets and helmets are to be given to that CISF personnel who will be posted in Delhi Metro, government institutions, and VIP security. According to a report released by news agency PTI, this purchase will be done at an estimated cost of Rs 16.51 crore.
Let us tell you that apart from the security of Delhi Metro, the CISF personnel is also responsible for the security of many buildings in the national capital including North Block Housing where the Home Ministry and Finance Ministry offices are located, Shastri Bhawan, Krishi Bhawan, Udyog Bhawan.
