Former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan has openly praised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Raghuram Rajan said that Rahul is not Pappu, he is a smart leader. Rajan termed his bad image as unfortunate. Raghuram participated in Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra last month.

In an interview with a TV channel, Raghuram Rajan said, "I think the image is unfortunate. I have spent nearly a decade interacting with him on several occasions. Rahul Gandhi is not Pappu by any means. He is smart, He is a young, curious man."

Raghuram further said, "I think you should know your priorities. It is necessary to have the good sense to take risks and evaluate them. Rahul Gandhi is fully capable of doing that." Raghuram had said after joining the Bharat Jodo Yatra that the year 2023 would be difficult for the Indian economy as well as for the rest of the world. He had said that the country had failed to generate the necessary reforms for development.

 

Make policy keeping in mind the lower middle class

Raghuram said that policies should be made keeping in mind the lower middle class in the country. This class is suffering the most due to the Corona epidemic.
