Storm and rain wreak havoc in NCR, 4 killed in Ghaziabad-Gautam Buddha Nagar.

The strong storm and hailstorm that came at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night caused widespread devastation. Dozens of trees were uprooted in Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Hapur, disrupting the power supply. Electricity could not be restored until midnight.

 

Trees and electric poles that fell on the road affected the traffic. Four people died in this disaster, two of whom were in Ghaziabad and two in Gautam Buddha Nagar. Many passersby are also reported to be injured. The glass gate installed in the clubhouse of the Irish Pearl Society located in Greater Noida West broke in the strong storm.

The gate of the lobby of Tower-C of Samridhi Grand Avenue Society broke due to the strong storm. The boundary wall of Asotech Spring Field Society in Sector Zeta One of Greater Noida collapsed, while walls and window panes broke at other places. Dozens of trees also fell in Noida, so traffic came to a standstill.

 

In the Surajpur Kotwali area, a 50-year-old woman, Sunita's head got separated from her body when a grill fell on her in the Migson Ultimo Society. A teacher, Ramkishan Singh, also died in NTPC Dadri. Panu Devi died when the wall of BMR Public School collapsed in the Khoda police station area.

 

At Madhuban Bapudham, a tree fell in a strong storm on Hapur Road in the Madhuban Bapudham police station area. 40-year-old Mujammil, a bike rider from Rasulpur Sikrod village, died after being crushed under the tree. There is also news of trees and walls of houses falling in Hapur and Bulandshahr. Here too, people have reached government hospitals for treatment after getting injured.
