In the last 48 hours, 769 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19 Cases Updates) were reported in the country. With this, the number of patients under treatment crossed six thousand. In this regard, the Union Health Ministry released the figures on Sunday. According to the ministry, Kerala is the most affected state. It is followed by Gujarat, Bengal, and Delhi.

Official sources said that the Center is conducting 'mock drill' to take stock of the preparations in view of the increasing cases of corona. All states have been instructed to ensure the availability of oxygen, ventilators and essential medicines.
The ministry said that the number of corona patients under treatment in India is 6,133. Six more infected people have died in the last 24 hours. According to official sources, most of the patients had mild symptoms and they recovered after treatment at home. Since January this year, 65 people have been reported to have died of corona in the country. As of May 22, the number of patients undergoing treatment in the country was 257.
