Clash with police
According to the information, workers of Hindu organizations also clashed with the police and even broke the barricades. Dakshina Kannada SP Yatish N said that on the eve of the Eid-e-Milad festival today, we have made adequate arrangements around the district.
Protest in Bantwal town
The police officer said that a protest was called in Bantwal town on BC Road, for which adequate arrangements have been made. We are ensuring that no untoward incident takes place in Bantwal or anywhere in the district. He said that some problem is going on between some people and I cannot tell what the problem is. We just want to ensure that everything remains peaceful and action will be taken against those who commit violence.
What is the matter?
This uproar has happened due to a controversial social media post regarding the Eid-e-Milad rally and now an FIR has been registered in the Bantwal police station. According to the information, a WhatsApp voice message was circulated regarding rallies on Eid-e-Milad, after which Hindu leaders announced the protest.
