New Delhi, March 19 (IANS) External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met her Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu here on Thursday and discussed the situation in West Asia and terrorism.
Sushma Swaraj and Cavusoglu met for the second time in the last two months.
"The discussions focused on working out of a schedule of visits for the year, which would include Foreign Office Consultations as well as a full-fledged meeting of the two foreign ministers in India.
"Apart from bilateral issues, there was a discussion on various regional issues of common interest, including the current situation in West Asia, the evolving dynamics of the situation in Iraq, and matters related to terrorism," said a statement from the external affairs ministry.
Sushma Swaraj had travelled to Turkey to meet her counterpart in January 2015.
