Mukhtar Bhat was associated with The Resistance Front of Lashkar-e-Taiba
According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Mukhtar Ahmed Bhat was the commander of The Resistance Front affiliated to Lashkar-e-Taiba. On 18 April, he left the house in the name of going to his aunt's house. He was missing since then. Later investigation revealed that he had joined the TRF organization and was active in Pulwama.
Before becoming the commander, Bhat was an overground worker at TRF for many years. He was making the youth fanatics by brainwashing them. Bhat had carried out many activities dangerous to the security of the country.
