Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar on Tuesday said fake social media posts are affecting free and fair elections and are becoming a common challenge for all election management bodies. Rajeev Kumar said that democracy is deeply rooted in the traditions of India. He said that a robust electoral process has been ensured to conduct free, fair, inclusive elections in India. For this, more than one crore polling personnel have been deployed, he said, adding that the Election Commission ensures the participation of political parties at every stage.
