T20 has now become the most played format in cricket. Whereas ODI matches have been reduced. At the same time, there is not much difference in the test. 908 matches have been played in the last 3 years. 641 of these teams have played. Those who are not in the top-10 ranking.

These things have come to the fore in Bhaskar's Research. We analyzed the number of matches for the next three years of the ODI World Cup. We found that the number of T20 Internationals has steadily increased since the 2007 World Cup. Whereas since the ODI World Cup was played in the same year, there has been less competition in this format. Let us tell you that the T20 format has gained popularity since the 2007 World Cup.

If we look at the statistics, it is known that after the arrival of T20, teams are playing 50-60 ODIs less than before. Generally, in the next three years of any World Cup, an average of 322 ODIs were played. But, only 142 ODIs were played in the next three years after the 2019 World Cup final.

New Zealand, who reached the final of the 2019 World Cup, played only 13 ODIs during this period. Meanwhile, the team played four times more T20 matches. While 120 Test matches have been played since the last World Cup. Which used to be 134 earlier.

Players have different opinions on ODI cricket

Recently, England all-rounder Ben Stokes announced his retirement from ODIs, giving preference to T20 and Test. Usman Khawaja of Australia called this format boring. England's Moeen Ali said that in the coming two years either players would like to play Test or T20. Nobody wants to play ODIs. Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal said that the ODI World Cup is more important than any other trophy and ODIs are not going anywhere.

The. The Africa Board even canceled the three-match ODI series against Australia for its newly-launched T20 league, which was crucial for them to qualify for the ODI World Cup. To see how the future of ODI cricket will be in front of T20 and Test, we have looked at the bilateral series of the last few years. The figures are indicating that ODIs are slowly dying.

908 T20s took place in the last 3 years. Of these, 641 matches were played between countries that are not even in the top 10 of the rankings. A total of 1382 players have debuted in T20 in the last 3 years. Of these, 1257 players are from 80 countries that are not in the top 10.
