India-US Relations: US Finance Minister Janet Yellen said Critical is the relationship between America and India

Janet Yellen is to visit India next month

Janet Yellen, after meeting and discussing with Nirmala Sitharaman, announced that she would visit India in November next month to participate in the ninth edition of the US-India Economic and Financial Partnership.

Janet said she will be making her first visit to India to attend the ninth edition of the US-India Economic and Financial Partnership ahead of the G20 meetings in November. The US Secretary further said that both the US and India are extremely important to the world economy and we need to continue to work together on economic development and cooperation to further strengthen our partnership. The US is happy that India is joining the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework. Through this, the economic ties between the two countries will deepen even further.

It is very important to strengthen the supply chain

On sanctions being imposed due to the Kovid epidemic and the ongoing war between Russia-Ukraine, Janet said that the global shock raised energy and food prices in both countries. The US secretary said he looked forward to discussing how the two countries would strengthen supply chains and invest in clean energy.

Sitharaman will participate in the meeting of the IMF and World Bank

Let us tell you that Sitharaman is on an official visit to the US during which she will attend the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, G20 Finance Ministers, and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meetings. Apart from this, Sitharaman will also participate in bilateral meetings with several countries including Japan, South Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Australia, New Zealand, and Germany.
