Thousands of teddy bears to be given to Turkey's earthquake victims: fans tossed them into the air at the football ground

Thousands of teddy bears are thrown onto the pitch by spectators during a Turkish Super League football match in Istanbul, Turkey. These will be gifted to the children affected by the earthquake. The game was stopped for 4 minutes and 17 seconds to throw the teddy. This time was decided because there was an earthquake in Turkey on February 6 at 4:17 in the morning.

 

The match in which teddy bears were thrown was played between Besiktas and Antalyaspor. However, some people tossed teddy bears and raised anti-government slogans, and demanded the resignation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

 

On February 6, more than 44 thousand people were killed in Turkey alone due to the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Turkey-Syria. Thousands of children are involved in this. More than 5 lakh people have become homeless.
