CIA: Fear of use of nuclear weapons in Russia-Ukraine war, CIA chief said – opposition of India and China is important

Bill Burns, head of the US intelligence agency CIA, says that the opposition of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping to nuclear weapons is very important. Explain that in the Ukraine war, America is apprehensive that Russia may use nuclear weapons, in such a situation, efforts are being made by America to prevent Russia from using nuclear weapons. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken appealed to India and China to talk to Russia so that the use of nuclear weapons could be stopped. In such a situation, the way India and China have opposed the use of nuclear weapons, the US has expressed satisfaction.

During an interview, Burns told that last year he had a meeting with the head of Russia's intelligence agency, Sergei Narashkin, in Turkey. Burns said that the conversation was very disappointing. During this conversation, Burns tried to send a message to Sergei Naryshkin, and through him to Russian President Vladimir Putin, that if he used nuclear weapons, there would be dire consequences. The CIA chief said that Naryshkin and the Russian President also understand its seriousness. It is also important that the Chinese leadership and Indian Prime Minister Modi have also made it clear that they oppose the use of any kind of nuclear weapons.

Burns said that in his conversation with Naryshkin, he realized that Putin is still very arrogant and thinks he can control everything. Putin feels that he can destroy Ukraine and bend the European countries that are allies of Ukraine. Significantly, there was a Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty between the US and Russia, under which both countries used to inspect each other's stockpiles of nuclear weapons, but now Russia has worried the whole world by announcing its withdrawal from the treaty. Putin has also said during the Ukraine war that he will not hesitate to use nuclear weapons if the need arises.
