A senior police officer in the former Medinipur district said that a case has been registered under sections 341 (wrongful restraint) and section 323 (intentional injury) of the Indian Penal Code. A doctor at SSKM said that a crude plaster has been applied to his left ankle and that his blood will be tested several times this morning. Their ECG report has come back to normal.
