TMC files case against Attack On Mamata Banerjee, TMC delegation to meet EC

In Nandigram, West Bengal, the political mercury of Bengal has been raised due to the alleged attack on Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee. While the TMC is calling it an attack, the BJP is calling it politics. Meanwhile, a case has been registered in connection with the attack on Mamta Banerjee. According to news agency PTI, an official said that based on a complaint given by Trinamool Congress leader Sheikh Sufiyan, the police registered a case in the attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. At the same time, a TMC delegation will meet Election Commission officials today or Thursday and will file a complaint on Wednesday evening about the alleged attack on party supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in her constituency of Nandigram. A senior police officer in the former Medinipur district said that a case has been registered under sections 341 (wrongful restraint) and section 323 (intentional injury) of the Indian Penal Code. He said that we had received a complaint from Mr. Sufiyan. We are under investigation and we are collecting evidence. Earlier in the morning, District Magistrate Vibhu Goyal, Superintendent of Police Praveen Prakash, and other officials went to Birulia Bazar, where the incident took place.

 

Banerjee had complained of chest pain and shortness of breath after the alleged attack in Nandigram in East Medinipur district in the evening and was admitted to the Government SSKM Hospital here. After an initial medical examination on Wednesday night, doctors had said that Mamta Banerjee had serious injuries in the ankles and leg bones of her left foot, and her right shoulder, hand, and throat were also injured.

 

According to the news agency PTI, the condition of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is now 'stable' and doctors are planning to do many more tests including a 'CT scan' to ascertain how deep the photos are. A doctor at SSKM said that a crude plaster has been applied to his left ankle and that his blood will be tested several times this morning. Their ECG report has come back to normal.

 

He said that Mamta Banerjee's condition is now stable. His health will be monitored for the next 48 hours. Today, his CT scan can be done during the day. We will examine them once again and decide on further treatment as per the report. His fever has also reduced.

 

The Chief Minister was brought to the hospital on Wednesday night from Nandigram in East Medinipur district, where doctors immediately x-rayed him. He is undergoing treatment at the 12.5 Special Cabin in the Woodburn block of SSKM Hospital. A team of nine doctors has been formed for the treatment of Banerjee in the government hospital. During campaigning for the assembly elections in Nandigram, unknown mischievous elements allegedly pushed Banerjee, causing her to fall to the ground and injure her leg and back. Earlier, Banerjee had filed her nomination from the Nandigram seat earlier in the day on Wednesday.

 

His supporters have taken to the streets after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee got hurt on Wednesday. Not only this, the supporters of the Trinamool Congress stopped trains on Thursday accusing them of assault. TMC supporters and activists stopped trains at Kadambagchi railway station on Thursday morning. This railway station is located on the Sealdah-Hasanabad line. TMC says that it will complain about the incident to the Election Commission. At the same time, the Election Commission has asked to send a panel on its behalf, which will investigate the whole matter and take stock of the security arrangements. The Commission has already called for a detailed report from its supervisors and the state administration.
