Due to increasing cases of the corona, a lockdown has been announced in Kerala from May 8 to May 16 at 6 am in the state. This announcement was made by CM Pinarayi Vijayan of Kerala. On Wednesday, Kerala recorded the highest ever 41,953 corona cases. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan described the situation in Kerala as serious and said that strict steps would have to be taken to stop the growth of Covid.

 

Coronavirus cases in India are breaking a new record every day and on Thursday 4,12,262 new cases of infection were recorded and 3,980 people lost their lives. With this, the total cases of infection increased to 2,10,77,410 and the number of dead reached 2,30,168. Mini lockdown imposed in Bengal

 

Soon after taking oath as Chief Minister in West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has announced lockdown-like restrictions in the state. To prevent corona infection, where it has been decided to stop the movement of local trains in the state, the shops will also open for a few hours only. Announcing the restrictions, Mamata Banerjee said that we have to take some steps because of the situation of Covid-19. Wearing a mask is mandatory, so only 50 percent of employees will be present in the offices of the state government. The private sector has been asked to provide work from home, while only 50 percent of the employees can stay in the office. The shopping complex, gym, cinema halls, beauty parlor will remain closed. Social and political mobilization will also be banned.

 

Lockdown extended in UP till May 10, restrictions will remain in force till Monday morning

 

Because of the ever-increasing corona case in UP, the Yogi government has increased the corona curfew till Monday. There was a Corona curfew on 6 May (till 7 am on Thursday), now it has been increased to 7 May on 10 May. In this way, a lockdown has been announced for the entire week. The government has directed all district administrations to expedite vaccination and sanitization in villages. During the lockdown, e-commerce supplies including essential items, drugstore will be kept operational.

 

Bihar also has lockdown till May 15

 

Keeping in mind the ever-increasing cases of Corona, the Bihar government has decided to put a lockdown in Bihar from May 5 to May 15. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave the information of this decision of the government on Tuesday through a tweet. During this period, all offices, shops, commercial and private establishments of the state government will remain closed. Essential food items, fruits, vegetables, meat-fish, milk, and PDS shops will open from 7 am to 11 am. Unnecessary traffic will be completely restricted. Only those who travel by rail, aircraft or other long-distance will be able to use public transport. All schools, colleges, coaching, training, and educational institutions will remain closed. Restaurants and food shops will remain closed. All types of events will be banned.

 

Lockdown extended in Chhattisgarh till May 15

 

In Chhattisgarh, the lockdown was again extended till 15 May on Tuesday. It has been said to increase the duration of lockdown and provide some relief and relaxation because of the convenience of common people. Raipur and Durg districts, where the infection is under some degree of control, have been given additional leeway in both these districts. Under the guideline, permission has been given to open the grocery shops of mohallas, but the shops will remain open till five o'clock in the evening. There will be a complete lockdown on Sunday. During this time all shops will remain closed except for essential services.

 

Lockdown till 15 May in Maharashtra

 

Maharashtra imposed curfew-like lockdown and restrictions on the movement of people with prohibitory orders on April 5. Restrictions have since been extended to 15 May. Private offices have been asked to insist on work from home only. Problems can be caused by the complete shutdown of buses and trains. Therefore, how to use them is still being considered. The government is also contemplating the imposition of demolition. That is, permission has to be taken to go out of the district.

 

Restrictions like lockdown till 17 May in Rajasthan

 

Restrictions like lockdown are in force till 17 May in Rajasthan. Many new restrictions have also been added to the new guidelines issued by the government. As per the order, all food shops and groceries, flour mills, cattle feed shops will open from 6 am to 11 am Monday to Friday. At the same time, shops of agricultural exchange vendors will open from 6 am to 11 am on Mondays and Thursdays. Dairy and milk shops can be opened daily from 6 am to 11 am and from 5 pm to 7 pm. While mandis, fruit vegetables, flower garlands, and vegetable and fruit carts will be open daily from 6 am to 11 pm.

 

Full lockdown in Tamil Nadu, night curfew increased on Sunday

 

The Tamil Nadu government has increased the night curfew in the state due to the fast-growing Corona infection and announced a full lockdown on Sunday. The Tamil Nadu government extended the full lockdown on Sunday and the night curfew on all days until further orders. As per the forthcoming order of the Tamil Nadu government, all cinema halls, multiplexes, theaters, gyms, entertainment clubs, bars, auditoriums, meeting halls, and other similar venues will remain closed until further orders. Chennai Metro Rail will be allowed to operate the ScaleTel service during the lockdown on Sunday. The night curfew will be implemented across the state till 10 pm and 4 pm till further orders. Private and public bus transport operations will not be allowed inside the state and from other states. Autos, taxis, and private vehicles will only be allowed for medical emergencies and rail, air passengers. Agitation will be allowed for essential services in the night curfew. The state has imposed extensive restrictions including a ban on all political, social, and cultural activities till 20 May.

 

Lockdown till 19 May in Odisha

 

In Odisha, the lockdown has been imposed till May 19. The 15-day lockdown in Odisha will continue Odisha from Wednesday to May 19. Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi said that shops of ration, fish, meat, milk, etc. will be open from 6 to noon. Vaccination work and corona testing work will continue. The police will not stop such people from traveling.

 

Lockdown till 10 May in Delhi

 

The coronavirus lockdown in Delhi has been extended until May 10. In Delhi, it was decided to extend the lockdown for one week last week. The national capital has been under lockdown since April 19 and will continue till May 10.

 

Lockdown till 15 May in Maharashtra

The government imposed a 10-day lockdown in Himachal

 

The Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday announced a 10-day lockdown in the state to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. It will start from 7 May till 16 May. The restrictions will come into force in the state from midnight on Thursday. This decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of the state Chief Minister Jairam Thakur. According to the information, all types of private and private offices will remain closed during this curfew lasting 10 days. All employees will work from home. During the curfew, all markets in the state will remain closed and section 144 will remain in force. Bus service will continue in the state. With this, people coming by plane, bus, or train in the state will have to bring a 72-hour-old RT-PCR test report of Covid.

 

16-hour night curfew imposed in Sikkim

 

The Sikkim government has announced a 16-hour night curfew from May 6 to May 16 in the state. This curfew will start at 5 in the evening and will remain in force till 9 am. Apart from this, the movement of people and vehicles from one district to another has also been banned. This ban will apply to all private and government vehicles. However, the movement of vehicles engaged in the army, security personnel, and other essential services will not be stopped. Apart from this, vehicles engaged in the supply of essential things will be allowed to move between 5 am and 8:30 am.
