An attempt was made to attack External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in London. A Khalistan supporter came in front of his car and insulted the tricolor flag. Even before the Foreign Minister reached Chatham House, Khalistan supporters were present there and raising anti-India slogans. They had Khalistan flags in their hands. After attending the program, when the Foreign Minister had sat in his car, a man came in front of his car. He tore the tricolor flag while raising slogans.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said we have seen the video of the crime committed by a group of extremists in London. We strongly condemn this incident. The Ministry of External Affairs said, "We expect the host government to fulfill its diplomatic obligations in such cases."

 

What is special about the Foreign Minister's visit to Britain? This visit of the Foreign Minister aims to promote the India-UK comprehensive strategic partnership, which includes trade, health, education, people-to-people relations, and defense cooperation. After the UK visit, Jaishankar will visit Ireland on March 6-7, where he is scheduled to meet Irish Foreign Minister Simon Harris, interact with other officials and meet the Indian diaspora.
